Mirage M1 Kyalami/Norisring 1969 #3/6 Team Malcolm Guthrie Racing by Marsh Models

Mirage M1 Kyalami/Norisring 1969 Guthrie
Hand built available MM268M3 Kyalami & MM268M6 Norisring
The only Mirage to remain in its original form, M10001 was only used by the factory at Kyalami in 1968, where it was bought post-race by Malcolm Guthrie who repainted it in his very smart dark metallic grey and burgundy colours. We’ve seen the basic kit parts before as the factory cars and the shape is good and the castings are the usual immaculate parts we expect from Marsh. The decals offer the option of two variants, the Kyalami entrant driven by Hailwood & Gethin which failed to finish, or Hailwood’s Norisring mount from later in the year where he finished twelfth. A colour chip is provided for the grey and the instructions mention that the burgundy decals need to be double layered to prevent colour bleed and that there might be a little touching in needed around the front, so be careful.

About Marsh Models

Well established maker of high quality 1:43 kits and hand-built models. Kits feature very precisely moulded resin bodies requiring minimal clean up, equally good white metal ancillary parts, very fine photo-etching where necessary, machined wheel rims, bespoke resin tyres and clearly printed decals. Instructions usually a clearly drawn exploded diagram and often include a sample paint chip if the main body colour is an unusual one. Hand-builts beautifully built and detailed, usually from a series of 100 pieces but LE range typically from only 25. Made in England
