Brabham BT11 3rd Austria 1964 #22 Anderson by Spark
Brabham BT11 3rd Austria 1964 Anderson
Austria hosted its first World Championship Grand Prix in 1964 and the harsh tarmac surface of the Zeltweg airport meant it was a race of attrition. Privateer Bob Anderson was one of the few survivors and was rewarded with third overall. Looking at race photos we were a little unsure about the model’s colour as in colour race photos it looks much darker, but we also have period colour references for many teams and the British Standard colour listed there is a very close match for the model. The shape is also good and the decals are well placed making for a good-looking model.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
