Peugeot 905 Spider Press 1991 #91 by Spark
In order to promote sportscar racing
and potentially bring new drivers
through for their World Sportscar
programme, Peugeot launched the
905 Cup. Although sharing a name
and some styling cues with the cars
that won Le Mans in 1992 and 1993,
these cars were open single seater
sportscars, but they were still good looking and fast machines. Here we have the
original press launch car, unveiled late in 1991 finished in Peugeot Sport’s familiar
white and stripes, and the car with which Eric Helary won the championship, which
looks very smart in its dark blue with Esso and Peugeot sponsorship. Both models
are nicely finished with excellent paint and neatly applied decals.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
