McLaren M8B 3rd Michigan 1969 #1 Gurney by Marsh Models
McLaren M8B Michigan 1969 Gurney
The first (and, as it transpired, only) visit by the Can-Am circus to the Michigan International Speedway saw McLaren arrive with three cars. Jack Brabham drove the spare on the Saturday but it was Dan Gurney, having various problems with his own McLeagle, who lined up on the back of the grid on Sunday. He didn’t stay there long, passing twelve cars on the opening lap and eventually finishing third! Just twenty five examples of this fine hand built have been made to celebrate this great drive and we see all of the usual things that we expect from a Marsh Can-Am car, with excellent paint over the crisp resin body, accurately placed decals and plenty of fine etched detail including the folded cockpit tub.

About Marsh Models
Well established maker of high quality 1:43 kits and hand-built models. Kits feature very precisely moulded resin bodies requiring minimal clean up, equally good white metal ancillary parts, very fine photo-etching where necessary, machined wheel rims, bespoke resin tyres and clearly printed decals. Instructions usually a clearly drawn exploded diagram and often include a sample paint chip if the main body colour is an unusual one. Hand-builts beautifully built and detailed, usually from a series of 100 pieces but LE range typically from only 25. Made in England
