Aston Martin DBR3 Silverstone 1958 #12 Moss by Jade Miniatures
We saw this model in kit form back in
FSW 8/2008 and now we see a very
well finished hand built. The DBR3
only raced once and failed to finish
the Silverstone event in the hands
of Stirling Moss. In terms of shape
the model checks out well with event
photos but we aren’t convinced by the
colour used. All of our records suggest that the car was in the usual California Sage
seen on the DBR1 but this is a much deeper, though not unattractive, colour.

About Jade Miniatures
A well established range of well thought out kits and hand built models of competition cars, mostly from the golden era of the 1950s and 60s. The kits are generally pretty simple with well cast resin bodies, small numbers of resin and white metal ancillaries and a modest amount of etch. In the case of open wheeled subjects, the etch usually includes most or all of the suspension. Hand builts generally well finished. Made in France.
