Triumph TR7 1980 Yellow 1:18 by Cult Scale Models
Hard on the heels of Cult's Leyland Princess model comes another wedgetastic slice in the form of the Triumph TR7 FHC. The registration number belonged to a long-gone car that appeared in contemorary press photos, so it is a shame that the font on the number plates is of the modern style introduced in 2001. While that's a tiny error, it is worth mentioning simply because the rerst of the model is so outstanding. The very 1970s Inca Yellow (Java Green & Vermillion Red are also available) paint is flawless while panel lines are crisp and the many bonnet louvres are convincingly picked out in black. They really do look as if they have been cut through. Poseable front wheels are the final touch on what is a hugely appealing and atmospheric piece.

About Cult Scale Models
Well-proportioned 1:18 resincast models with some interesting subject choices, many of which have a distinctly Anglophile flavour! Paint finishes are excellent, the smaller parts fit well but occasionally the trim detailing could be better. Made in China for The Netherlands.
