Holden Torana A9X Bathurst 1978 #10 Forbes/Bartlett by Automodelli Studio
Holden Torana A9X Bathurst 1978 #10
Known as the Martini car, there is no evidence that the Torana of Bob Forbes and Kevin Bartlett was ever actually officially sponsored and it would appear that they just liked the colours, as do we! The resin castings in the kit capture the shape of the car well and for the most part the panel engraving is very good, although the door outlines are a little uneven. There are relatively few parts, so assembly will be straightforward once those resin parts have been cleaned and painted. The wheels are machined rims with etched centres and the decals are clearly printed, but they have been done on an inkjet machine so will need careful cutting out.

About Automodelli Studio
An interesting range of mostly Australian oriented subjects. Some subjects are based on other makers' castings where suitable (Marsh Models, Jemmpy & SMTS the most commonly used) while others are made entirely in house. Decals often laser or inkjet printed, but still with good bright colours and clarity. Most kits included
a modest amount of etched detailing. Made in Australia
