Williams FW07D 6 Wheeler Test 1981 Rosberg by SilverLine
As we might expect with two cars which
were developments of the same core
chassis, there are many similarities
between these kits, particularly at the
front. The obvious difference is the
longer transmission casing on the sixwheeled
car to take the extra set of
suspension. The main bodies are very
cleanly cast in white metal, as are the
seats, wing elements, gearbox casings
and a few of the larger suspension
parts. The remaining suspension is in photo-etch and machined aluminium and
we also see etched side skirts. The decals are very well printed and include all of
the green sections of the livery, though make sure you use the right parts as the
decal sheet is common to both kits. Both will make fine models, whether you go
for Alan Jones’ race winner or the experimental car that he drove at Paul Ricard
after the season ended.
