VW Golf GTi Mk1Alternative version REV07071 CabrioletEvery now and then a car is launched which creates new boundaries to what is possible and in the late 1970s it was VW’s Golf GTi which all but killed the small sportscar (for a decade or so at least) and provided an altogether more practical and civilised machine for the sporting motorist. Revell’s kit captures the shape of the car very well and we see a typically high level of detail with plenty to get stuck into both under the bonnet and in the interior. A choice of left or right-hand-drive is offered and the decals have number plates from several countries as well as including the tartan style upholstery. Straight from the box this will make a decent model but there is also scope to add wiring under the bonnet should you wish.
Reasonably accurate and well detailed plastic kits. some subjects of US origin are in 1:25 rather than 1:24 scale but these are clearly marked. Pricing very competitive and the range offers an ideal introduction to modelling. Made in China.
