Porsche 935/80 Daytona 1980 #59 Brumos by Renaissance

Porsche 935/80 Daytona Finale 1980 Brumos
The record books show that Peter Gregg failed to qualify for the IMSA Finale at Daytona, but behind the statistics is the sad story that he felt he was not able to drive fast enough due to impaired vision following a road accident some months earlier and withdrew, that practice session being the last time he would drive a Brumos race car. As is usually the case with Renaissance’s Porsche kits, the builder is given the option of building the car kerbside, or modifying the main body to take the extra open doors provided to give a better view of the highly detailed cockpit. There’s a modicum of engine detail moulded into the base plate and very fine turbo and exhaust parts will need very careful clean up. The parts are all well cast with no bubbles and the decals and etch are all nice and crisp.

About Renaissance

Excellent kits and conversion sets (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Classic subjects (REN43 refs) are relatively simple builds, while the Integral series (RENI) of more modern subjects are a little more complex. Made in France
