Porsche 935K3 1st Le Mans 1979 #41 Ludwig/Whittington/Whittington 1:24 by Renaissance

This kit is one that has been ‘due’ from Renaissance for well over a decade and has suffered a number of setbacks along the way with master patterns getting broken on more than one occasion. Etienne Dhont has persevered though and at long last we are pleased to see the kit parts! The main body casting is very well proportioned and will need just the usual light flash removing from the various openings and a few feedtags trimming underneath. Prior to painting there are a few fine etched details that need to be fitted to the body and if you want to have the doors open, that needs doing at this point too. There’s a fair level of engine detail visible underneath at the rear and plenty of bits and pieces in the cockpit. Most of these are cast resin and metal with a few etched finishing touches. The decals are clearly printed and look good colour wise. Well worth the wait.

About Renaissance

Excellent kits and conversion sets (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Classic subjects (REN43 refs) are relatively simple builds, while the Integral series (RENI) of more modern subjects are a little more complex. Made in France
