Vauxhall Cresta Friary Estate Lilac by Oxford
Vauxhall didn’t offer estate versions of their Cresta large family saloons but little known coachbuilder Friary of Basingstoke stepped in and their conversions were soon sanctioned by GM’s UK arm. Two tone finishes were typical and this lilac and coral combination suits the car really well. The shape has been very neatly replicated and the small details are pretty delicate, particularly for this range. Excellent value.

About Oxford
Traditional diecast models, mostly of historic British vehicles. Overall shapes and paint finishes usually excellent. Some of the smaller detailing such as wipers can be a little heavy and wire wheels are sometimes replicated with printed acetate discs. Price point is very low, so something has to give and with a few accessories they make excellent models. Made in China for the UK.
