Zagato Perana Z-One 2009 Red by Matrix
The Perana Performance Group was founded in Port Elizabeth in 2007 and although South African, is not connected to Basil Green’s famous similarly named performance Fords of the 1970s and 80s. It’s Chevrolet power which lurks beneath this striking body design by Zagato, most of the mechanical components coming from a Corvette. It’s a fabulous looking machine and the deep metallic red paint on the sample model helps to show off the many subtle curves and crisp panel engraving.

About Matrix
From the original creators of the Neo range, this resincast series offers a wide range of mostly road car subjects. Some are very familiar classics but we also see plenty of very rare and usual machines ranging from Maharajah's Rolls Royces to Citroen and Volvo limousines! Overall casting quality is excellent, paint finishes usually to a very high standard and plenty of fine etch used for small trim. Wire wheels on some subjects can be a little unconvincing but otherwise very consistent. Made in China.
