Vauxhall Magnum Gr1 2nd Spa 1977 #56 Brock/Marshall by Modellismo 90
Vauxhall Magnum Gr1 2nd Spa 1977 #56
Vauxhall’s Magnum was extensively rallied (as other kit releases in this range have shown) and it was also used on the circuits, most notably in British domestic races by Gerry Marshall. For an International foray to Spa in 1976 Marshall was joined by another British stalwart, Tony Lanfranchi and they were running strongly until the clutch failed with 90 minutes to go. The following year, Marshall was joined by Australian legend Peter Brock and they finished an excellent second overall and first in class. The main kit parts are the same that we have seen for the rally cars with one or two minor adjustments such as the addition of a photo-etched front air dam. The decals for the Gulf liveried 1976 car include the orange stripes but you may need to match and touch in slightly for the panels on the tail and beneath the rear windscreen. The 1977 car wore a tradition DTV livery and the main decal sheet is shared with some of the rally cars, the race specific details included on supplementary sheets.
