BRM P201 Germany Practice 1974 Pescarolo by Modellismo 90
Modellismo 90 must be close to having modelled every race and driver combination for the BRM P201 and here we see two more variations with practice cars. In Belgium Beltoise tried a new, neater, radiator set up in the wet Friday practice sessions but this was hastily changed towards the end and the original setup reinstated, presumably because it didn’t work! In Germany BRM entered a third car for Pescarolo and this had further experiments done with the bodywork. The castings are basically the same in both kits and these bodywork changes are achieved with excellent fold up etched parts. There’s plenty more etch for suspension and wing pieces, cast wheels, proper springs for the suspension and clearly printed decals. Two tone painting will be needed and the resin parts need releasing from large feed tags, but if you’ve built a few kits there’s nothing to be scared of.

About Modellismo 90
Fairly simple to build, well cast and generally accurate kits with resin bodies, white metal ancillaries and a reasonable level of photo-etched detail. Most subjects are classic F1s but also a handful of rally cars and some transkits. Made in Italy
