Alternative version MM267m108 Guards Trophy MM267M11 BOAC MM267M16 Buenos Aires & MM267 KitPaul Hawkins took over the Alan Mann Racing special AMR2 in 1967 and had the original lightweight aluminium bodywork replaced with standard panels so that it would be eligible for more races. This bodywork left a slight overhang on the sides as the Mann cars had a different sill design and so is a distinctive version of the GT40. These hand built models are all superbly finished and from the race images that we have the decal placement and other small details look very good. Where decals cross panel openings they have been neatly cut in and on the Buenos Aires car we see an unusual intake panel with pieces of trunking to draw in cooling air in place of the usual louvre on the rear deck.
Well established maker of high quality 1:43 kits and hand-built models. Kits feature very precisely moulded resin bodies requiring minimal clean up, equally good white metal ancillary parts, very fine photo-etching where necessary, machined wheel rims, bespoke resin tyres and clearly printed decals. Instructions usually a clearly drawn exploded diagram and often include a sample paint chip if the main body colour is an unusual one. Hand-builts beautifully built and detailed, usually from a series of 100 pieces but LE range typically from only 25. Made in England
