Jaguar XJR5 Le Mans 1984 #40 Group 44 by Marsh Models
The two Jaguar XJR5s of the American
Group 44 team brought the Jaguar
marque back to Le Mans after a
absence of more than two decades and
the lead #44 car, with team principal
Bob Tullius among the drivers, won the
GTP class. Marsh’s models capture the
basic shape of the cars well and we see
plenty of fine detail, particularly around the rear of the car. The paint finishes on
our two hand builts are very good and the decoration is, for the most part, neatly
applied. It would appear that the decal stripes put up a little bit of resistance during
the building, but you do have to be looking very closely to see any blemishes.
Those who are planning on building the kits, be careful here.

About Marsh Models
Well established maker of high quality 1:43 kits and hand-built models. Kits feature very precisely moulded resin bodies requiring minimal clean up, equally good white metal ancillary parts, very fine photo-etching where necessary, machined wheel rims, bespoke resin tyres and clearly printed decals. Instructions usually a clearly drawn exploded diagram and often include a sample paint chip if the main body colour is an unusual one. Hand-builts beautifully built and detailed, usually from a series of 100 pieces but LE range typically from only 25. Made in England
