Le Mans 24 Hours: The Official History 1960-1969 by Book

weight 1.9kg by Quentin Spurring This is the first in a planned eight volumes charting the history of the Le Mans 24 Hours. The 1960s saw a great increase in interest in the race from manufacturers and spectators alike and here the author takes a detailed look at the races year by year. The descriptive text tells the overall story of each race and also highlights some of the more interesting sub-plots and there is plenty of data with detailed entry lists and results year by year and a summary at the rear of the book. From a modellers perspective there are a good number of carefully selected photos which capture the atmosphere of the race. By no means are all cars covered, but what there is is excellent.
