This is the fifth volume in Quentin Spurring’s excellent series charting the history of the Le Mans 24 Hours and has been produced with the blessing of the ACO. The 1990s were a difficult time for the race and with plummeting grids a move was made to GT based machinery, which of course gave us the magnificent McLaren F1 GTR and Porsche GT1. Nearly 500 photographs capture the colour and drama of the races, there are detailed race reports for each year and, of course, plenty of statistics.
