Ferrari 250GTO Press 1962 1:18 by BBR
Ferrari 250GTO Press 1962
Here we see Ferrari’s iconic GTO in its purest form, as presented to the world at Maranello in February 1962. The original design had no brake cooling ducts at the front, no trim on the radiator opening and most obvious, was without a rear spoiler. All of these details were added before production as extensive testing proved the necessity of most of them and aesthetics dictated trim changes. The model captures the shape of the car very well and in terms of bodywork everything is very well finished. The plated tailpipe trims look a little gaudy and would be better as machined parts, but otherwise it’s all very smart and the presentation is superb, the model mounted on a hand stitched leather base.
